Family Dentistry
General Dentistry, Dental Cleanings, and Exams
Dental care for children should be incorporated into everyday life at an early age. Our adolesent dentistry methods allow us to help you promote the dental health of your children, within our dental office. At our practice, we offer an array of safe treatments recommended for kids, and depending on the scenario, can help you choose what may be best for your child.
Fluoride Treatments
Flouride treatments aren’t just for children! The outer covering of your tooth is known as enamel. Enamel is made from calcium and phosphate and is stronger than bone! Your saliva is loaded with calcium and phosphate, it continually bathes teeth to keep them strong. Enamel gets thinner as we age, and acidic foods and beverages will speed up the process. Over time, this causes teeth to be more sensitive and appear more yellow in color.
While saliva and regular brushing help to maintain healthy enamel, fluoride treatments offer a protective coating to your teeth, adding calcium and phosphate to replace what has been stripped away naturally.
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are a thin, protective coating (made from normal dental filling material) that adhere to the pitted chewing surfaces of your back teeth. They’re no substitute for brushing and flossing, but they can keep cavities from forming and may even stop early stages of decay from becoming a full-blown cavity. You’re never too old to put these on!

Dr. Smith & Dr. Keil are a husband-and-wife dental team! Through their kind and compassionate way of practicing dentistry, they will help put you at ease during your dental visits. The couple does not believe in selling healthcare, they will only recommend what you actually need.
White Oaks Dental was named for the couple’s love of the outdoors in the great state of Michigan. There are even a few mature oak trees on the property where the practice is located. White Oaks are a historical symbol of peace and calmness, something they aim to bring to dentistry.
Our friendly team of front desk staff, hygienists, and assistants can’t wait to meet you and your family!
