Oral Cancer Screening
An oral cancer screening (OCS) allows us to identify abnormal, precancerous, and cancerous lesions of soft tissue. Such screenings allow us to take note of any irregular or unhealthy signs of soft tissue, allowing us to recommend diagnostic procedures and treatments, as necessary.
Dental Hygiene
The ADA (American Dental Association) recommends a routine cleaning and exam every 4-6 months, based on your oral care.
Gum Disease and Periodontal Treatments
Gum disease, periodontal disease, and gingivitis should be taken very seriously. At White Oaks Dental, we educate our patients so that they understand the complete scope of their oral health.
When gingivitis initially starts, there may be little to no discomfort; however, irritated gums are often a sign of poor oral hygiene. While there are different types of gum disease, once gums become red, swollen, and bleed easily, it is important to let your dentist and hygienist know right away. There are actions our dentists can take to help you prevent further harm. Gingivitis is reversible with professional treatment and good oral health care at home.

White Oaks Dental was named for the couple’s love of the outdoors in the great state of Michigan. There are even a few mature oak trees on the property where the practice is located. White Oaks are a historical symbol of peace and calmness, something they aim to bring to dentistry.
