Meet the Doctors and team of White Oaks Dental in Kalamazoo
Our Dentists
Dr. Andrew Smith
Dr. Smith is originally from Portage and attended Portage Northern High School. He then went to Michigan State University where he received B.S. degrees in Physiology and Human Biology. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree at the University of Michigan, where he met his future wife. After graduating, he worked in Toledo as an associate dentist. He enjoys woodworking, playing the drums, gardening, and his dogs.
Dr. Stephanie Keil
Dr. Keil grew up in Ann Arbor and completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, earning a B.S. in Psychology. She then continued her education at the University of Michigan, where she received her D.D.S. After graduating, she worked in Ann Arbor as an associate dentist. Dr. Keil enjoys traveling, crafting, hiking, and spending time with her dogs. Dr. Keil and Dr. Smith welcomed their first baby in the Fall of 2021.
Our Hygienists
Noreena- Hygienist
I was born and raised in Michigan. At the age of 18, I decided I wanted to see the world, so I joined the United States Air Force, where I started my journey in the dental field. I spent a total of nine years active duty as a dental assistant and then went to Dental Hygiene school on an Air Force scholarship. I graduated in 2005, and have been practicing dental hygiene ever since. I am also licensed to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. I have a passion for teaching my patients the best ways to achieve healthy oral hygiene.
I have been married for 20 years; we have two children. Our daughter is a student at UCF in Florida and our son is in high school. Between horse shows and sports, we stay very busy all year long. I love our two cats and our five-year-old big baby, black lab. I love to craft, take naps, and watch Netflix.
Cherri – Hygienist
I graduated from Plainwell High School and KVCC Dental Hygiene Program with an Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. I have been working in the Kalamazoo/Portage area for many years.
I grew up in the Plainwell area and live there currently. I have three children: one son and two daughters. Spring and summer are my favorite times of the year. I love the outdoors, going on boat rides, relaxing on the beach, collecting beach glass and Petosky stones, and planting flowers.
I’m excited to be here at White Oaks Dental, to meet new people, and to continue to gain new knowledge about dental technology to pass on to all my patients.
Kelsie – Hygienist
Kelsie is a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with over a decade of experience in the dental field. Since starting her career in 2013, Kelsie has been committed to providing exceptional dental care and enhancing patients’ oral health.
Kelsie graduated from Ivy Tech Community College, earning associate degrees in both Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene. She furthered her education by completing a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Ferris State University. Her extensive training and passion for dentistry have made her a valued member of the dental team.
To be closer to her family, Kelsie and her husband move to Michigan March of 2023. In her free time, Kelsie enjoys spending time on the water, camping, shopping, and spending time with her two fur babies (Axle and Mac).
Our Dental Assistants
Michelle- Dental Assistant
I have been a Dental Assistant for eight years. I love meeting and taking care of our patients. I am always excited to learn new dental techniques that improve the care of our patients.
My hobbies include lake life, camping, gardening, shopping, and spending time at home with my family and pets.
Amanda – Dental Assistant
My name is Amanda and I’m one of the assistants here at White Oaks Dental. I have 6 years in the field, and I hope to live out my dental career here with you!
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family the most. My fiancé (Bobby), bonus daughter (Mackenzie), son (Jake) and Rottweiler (Dave) are my whole world! When we’re all together, we love camping, off-roading in our ORV, and cruising the lake, and each of us plays a very special role in the function and success of our brand-new business, ArcTech Design and Fabrication!
The BEST part of my job is interacting with my patients, and I take so much pride in making them feel at home and comfortable.

Monica – Dental Assistant
Monica’s dental assisting career began here in Kalamazoo. She was raised nearby in Plainwell, where she graduated high school in 2004. Shortly after receiving her cosmetology license through a local academy, she loved gaining experience working with individuals and learning many important foundational skills that would come useful, such as communication and attention to detail. She attended the Everest Dental Assisting Program in 2012 and loved how this challenging and rewarding profession combines her love of art and science.
Monica has enjoyed learning all the different aspects of this industry including some specialties including endodontic, oral surgery, and prosthodontics. She believes this branch of health care can impact individuals in a positive way when their experiences are led by caring providers like the doctors here at White Oaks Dental.
Monica has three children Emerson, Evelyn, and Elana. She loves exploring nature by hiking and camping, learning about other cultures by traveling and trying different cuisines, and making fun memories at music and art festivals!
Our Front Office Team
Stephenie – Office Manager
Stephenie is an experienced practice manager providing excellent service in dentistry for 15+ years working from the front office to dental assisting and hygiene management to office management. She attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College, completing an AA and Certification of American Sign Language in 2017.
In her free time, Stephenie enjoys spending time at her lake home, boating, traveling, home decorating and design, event planning, and spending time with her friends & family.
Jen – Insurance Coordinator
After working in a dental office as a co-op student in high school, I fell in love with the dental field. I completed the Washtenaw Community College dental assistant program and served as a clinical assistant for 20+ years. My clinical duties started merging into administrative training over time, so I completed numerous business and insurance coding courses. I discovered that I really enjoy the challenge insurance billing presents and have been a biller for the last 10 years. My goal is to help our patients utilize their benefits to their fullest extent and to make dentistry as affordable as possible for everyone.
I have two adult children and belong to a Paranormal Investigation team. I enjoy traveling, visiting exciting new locations, being out in nature, and rock hunting
