Meet the Doctors and team of White Oaks Dental in Kalamazoo
Our Dentists
Dr. Andrew Smith
Dr. Smith is originally from Portage and attended Portage Northern High School. He then went to Michigan State University where he received B.S. degrees in Physiology and Human Biology. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree at the University of Michigan, where he met his future wife. After graduating, he worked in Toledo as an associate dentist. He enjoys woodworking, playing the drums, gardening, and his dogs.
Dr. Stephanie Keil
Dr. Keil grew up in Ann Arbor and completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, earning a B.S. in Psychology. She then continued her education at the University of Michigan, where she received her D.D.S. After graduating, she worked in Ann Arbor as an associate dentist. Dr. Keil enjoys traveling, crafting, hiking, and spending time with her dogs. Dr. Keil and Dr. Smith welcomed their first baby in the Fall of 2021.
Our Hygienists
Cherri – Hygienist
She’s excited to be here at White Oaks Dental, to meet new people, and to continue to gain new knowledge about dental technology to pass on to all her patients.
Kelsie – Hygienist
Kelsie is a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with over a decade of experience in the dental field. Since starting her career in 2013, Kelsie has been committed to providing exceptional dental care and enhancing patients’ oral health.
Kelsie graduated from Ivy Tech Community College, earning associate degrees in both Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene. She furthered her education by completing a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Ferris State University. Her extensive training and passion for dentistry have made her a valued member of the dental team.
To be closer to her family, Kelsie and her husband moved to Michigan in March of 2023. In her free time, Kelsie enjoys spending time on the water, camping, shopping, and spending time with her two fur babies (Axle and Mac).
Marley – Hygienist
Marley is a KVCC graduate with an Associate in Applied Sciences in Dental Hygiene and is licensed to administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. As a child, she always had an interest and passion for the dental field.
Growing up, she didn’t have the best access to dental care or education. She had some bad experiences and would leave feeling discouraged and judged about her teeth and oral hygiene. Marley welcomes all patients to feel comfortable, confident, informed, and free to ask any questions while sitting in her chair.
Another aspect she loves about the dental field is that it is always changing, which means there is always new technology, research, protocols, products, and procedures to be learned about! It’s a career that truly offers so much growth for skills and knowledge and helps her provide our patients with the best quality of care.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, camping, crocheting, doing home improvements with her fiancé, and snuggling with her dog and cat.
Mikayla– Hygienist
Mikayla graduated from MCC in 2021 where she was the President of her Dental Hygiene class. Although she has only been a hygienist for a few years, she loves what she does. Her greatest joy as a hygienist is helping patients feel comfortable with the appointment and helping to answer any questions they may have.
When she is not at work, she enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys reading, hiking, crafting and being in the Upper Peninsula.

Michelle- Dental Assistant
Amanda – Dental Assistant
Amanda has 8 years in the dental field where she hopes to live out her dental career here!
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her fiancé (Bobby), bonus daughter (Mackenzie), son (Jake) and Rottweiler (Roy) are her whole world! When they’re all together, they love camping, off-roading in the ORV, and cruising the lake, and each of them play a very special role in the function and success of their new personal business, ArcTech Design and Fabrication!
Amanda says The BEST part of her job is interacting with patients, and she takes so much pride in making them feel at home and comfortable.
Stephanie – Dental Assistant
Stephanie grew up in Plainwell, Michigan, and loved it so much she decided to stay in the area. She’s had an interest in dentistry since she was little and decided to attend Everest in 2009 to become a Dental Assistant. Now she has over 15 years of experience in this incredible field! She’s always enjoyed getting to know each and every one of her patients, making patients feel at ease, and learning new techniques to make appointments as quick and efficient as possible!
She has been married for almost 7 years and has 3 children and 2 dogs. At their young ages, her family is always on the go exploring new places, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Stephanie works part time at White Oaks Dental and can’t wait to meet all of the incredible people that trust our office to provide excellent dental care!
Our Front Office Team
Stephenie – Office Manager
Stephenie is an experienced practice manager providing excellent service in dentistry for 15+ years working from the front office to dental assisting and hygiene management to office management. She attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College, completing an AA and Certification of American Sign Language in 2017.
In her free time, Stephenie enjoys spending time at her lake home, boating, traveling, home decorating and design, event planning, and spending time with her friends & family.
Jen – Insurance Coordinator
Jen worked in a dental office as a co-op student in high school, where she fell in love with the dental field. She completed the Washtenaw Community College dental assistant program and served as a clinical assistant for 20+ years. Her clinical duties started merging into administrative training over time, which led her to completing numerous business and insurance coding courses. She discovered that she really enjoys the challenge insurance billing presents and has been a biller for the last 10 years. Her goal is to help our patients utilize their benefits to their fullest extent and to make dentistry as affordable as possible for everyone.
Jen has two adult children and belongs to a Paranormal Investigation team. She enjoys traveling, visiting exciting new locations, being out in nature, and rock hunting.
Bethany – Front Office Administrator
Bethany is someone who loves spending time outdoors and has had the chance to live in a few different states, but Michigan will always feel like home to her. When she is not working, you’ll usually find her snapping photos, diving into a good book, or playing guitar or piano. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places and cultures. For her, it’s all about blending creativity with adventure and enjoying every moment along the way.
